Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data AskGogo collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the control you have over it.

AskGogo is a product of CIQ AI Solutions Private Limited. In this policy, "we" and "AskGogo" mean that company. This policy is written to meet our obligations under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

We do not collect your card details. Payments are handled by Razorpay, and card data goes to them directly, never to us.

Contacts you add

If you ask AskGogo to remind someone else, you give us that person's name and phone number. We use it only to send the reminder you asked for, in your name. That person can reply STOP at any time and we will not message them again. Do not add someone who would not expect to hear from you.

How we use it

• To run the service you asked for — setting reminders, keeping lists, answering questions
• To send you the messages you have scheduled, and briefings you have switched on
• To enforce the limits of your plan
• To investigate faults, abuse and security incidents
• To meet legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use the content of your messages to advertise to you.

Who processes it with us

We use other companies to run AskGogo. Each of them handles data only to provide their service to us.

Some of these providers operate outside India, so your data may be processed abroad. We only use providers who commit to protecting it.

Google user data

If you connect Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Contacts or Google Drive, AskGogo's use of information received from Google Workspace APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We request Google access only for user-facing AskGogo features you choose to use.

We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, determine credit-worthiness from it, or use it to create, train or improve a generalized machine-learning or artificial-intelligence model. When limited Google context is sent to an AI service provider, it is sent only as necessary to produce the specific AskGogo response or action you requested, subject to our provider safeguards and this policy.

We do not let humans read Google user data except with your explicit permission for specific data, where necessary to investigate security or abuse, or where required by law. Authentication material such as one-time codes and account-recovery or magic-login links is filtered from email context before AskGogo uses it.

You can disconnect Google Workspace by telling Gogo to disconnect or unlink Google/Gmail, or from your Google Account permissions. Disconnecting removes the stored Google access and refresh tokens from AskGogo and AskGogo attempts to revoke the Google authorization. AskGogo does not maintain a separate long-term copy of your Gmail inbox, Google Contacts or Google Drive. Workspace results are fetched on demand for the request you make. If you explicitly ask Gogo to save information or a document into AskGogo, that saved AskGogo content follows the retention rules below.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active, because the service depends on it — a reminder you set last month has to still be there next month.

• Reminders, lists and notes: kept until you delete them or close your account
• Message content: kept for 12 months, then deleted
• Error and usage logs: kept for 90 days
• Payment records: retained as long as tax and accounting law requires

When you close your account we delete your personal data within 30 days, except anything we must keep by law.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with
• Ask us to correct or complete anything inaccurate
• Ask us to erase your data, where we are not required to keep it
• Withdraw consent you have given, at any time
• Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated
• Complain to the Data Protection Board of India if we do not resolve your grievance

Children

AskGogo is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

Security

We protect your data with access controls, encryption in transit, and encryption at rest with our storage provider. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you and the Data Protection Board if a breach affects you.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell you on WhatsApp if the change is significant.
